RESCUE DOGS

We usually have a few dogs here that we've either rescued ourselves or who have been brought to us for training by Atlanta Dog Squad.

We work with every rescue to train and socialize them. Each of them goes through our 28 Day Off Leash Training program. We then work hard to find the perfect home for them.

The picture below is of Sara. Sara is a beautiful black Labrador that was abandoned by her owner. She was out of control when she arrived here to us. She would lunge and bark in her crate, she didn't play well with other dogs, she would try to play by grabbing our arms and clothing. She had been put on a variety of medications for behavior and other ailments. She was also on prescription food at $80 a month.

Sara is now fully reformed and a pleasure to be around. We found the the medication regime was actually making her behavior worse and we eliminated it completely. She has never had any evidence of allergies or major behavior issues since.

She plays in large groups of dogs, including swimming down at the lake. She's perfectly behaved in her crate and kennel. And she's extremely affectionate, attentive and responsive. We're so proud of how well she's done. We are looking for the perfect home for her. She loves to run and play; she would need a home that could give her lots of great exercise retrieving, swimming and running. She has also had some hunting training, which she enjoys immensely. Sara would be an incredibly fun dog for an active person or family.
